Re: aftermarket rear fender?
and if the search claims MX is too small do a search for "Maier"
(if you do decide to search for MX rear fender the first picture will be a maier fender)
that said, I doubt someone who is professional enough to duck tape and paint over a section of a fender would bother removing the wiring
I would guess if you pull the seat you will find them right there, tucked into the airfilter
if you would like to reinstall a light though it is a whopping 2 wires, should be easy enough to figure out

Re: aftermarket rear fender?
there should be a switch that looks just like the kill switch but look behind your number plate for a yellow and a red wire
that's where the switch would have gone but I would imagine they just disconnected it

I think the OEM fender cost about the same as the aftermarket ones. Why not do OEM.

I agree. The last UFO fender I bought didn't fit worth diddle - had to redrill holes and trim side panels, and the tailight sits up too high. The maier fenders are overpriced and brittle. Both are junk, IMO, so I will buy OEM next time. I just bought some nice polysport front and rear fenders for my TE310, fit and look like OEM, nice heavy plastic, about $20 each. Why the high price for the crappy maiers ? there are more KDX's still out there than many dirt bikes so there's good demand, I would imagine.terminatr wrote:I think the OEM fender cost about the same as the aftermarket ones. Probably because most KDX owners see the price and say F that so the demand is low. I know I wouldn't spend $60+ for the "MX" rear fender.kawagumby wrote: Why the high price for the crappy maiers ? there are more KDX's still out there than many dirt bikes so there's good demand, I would imagine.
