I reported that Oregon riders in 09 will have to start getting their ATV license. All kids from 7-15 must also have a license plus they have to have a escort while they ride. My biggest question was, how will they run junior races???

Well I just looked at the Lobos ISDE that'll be run in Bend this month and saw this on the flyer.
All riders age 7 to 15 and their Escorts must have an ATV Safety Education Certification Card.
If you do not have this card with you, your child will not be able to ride.
The kids racing has to have a escort in the race with them. This is great, if they have 50 kids racing there will be 100 riders on the course. Also those escort to follow the law will have to ride "in front" of the junior rider.

So what happens with a hot rod 15 year old? Does he have to follow the old man putt around the course? Another thing, if you have a 7 year old racing now he has to run with adults. A Dad with a 7 yr old and a 14 will have to find someone to ride with one of his kids.

Do parents start blocking other riders for their kid? Does Dad race through other kids with their kid in tow? When racing for points things get real weird and a lot of BS could go down.

You've got to be kidding me . . . Oregon is becoming a communist state, I don't care how beautiful it is.

How many kids per escort? You make it sound like one kid for one escort.

BTW, come down to Rogue River next weekend and ride with Carver and me!!
