Sam Houston Natl Forest Review

Post by 01twostrokingfun »

After many months of riding all the trails, my brother in law and myself have concluded that the "Kellys Pond" trail is definitely the best ride. It offers some long areas where you can build up some speed as well as a few small jumps. The area is not as sandy or windy as the other trails and seems to have less whoops.

Followed by the East Side Trail and then the West Trail.

awesome, I plan on going to the forest very soon this summer and always wondered where the better trails are. I went for my 1st time last year and the trails I rode on weren't that great, and there was a lot of sand. Where is "Kellys Pond", would I have to take a right from Willis or a left from New Waverly or what? Thanks for the review

Look up the Sam HOuston Natl Forest via internet and they have maps of the multi-use trails which will give you better directions than I can.

The roads are marked by signs but you do have to look hard for a few of them.
