My other trip (see earlier posts) is in limbo.
All I can say for now is that I & my best riding buddy have decided we will be in WV May 13 thru 15. Cool coincidence huh?
We were pretty keen on staying at atvresort.com so we could hit 3 trail systems (4 if you count Outlaw trails) from the front door, but if I don't hear something concrete from my other friends in the next few days I'll ask my bud if he wants to hook up with you guys at the Rockhouse. He rides a YZ426F but is very, very interested in switching up to a KDX. I wonder how that happened?
I'd like to make reservations as soon as possible, one way or the other, so I'll be watching this thread closely for a little while. Would be nice if you guys could pin down exactly where you are staying? My bud & I could share a cabin with y'all (or should I say "yoos guys"?), or we can fend for ourselves & likely have an extra bunk or two.

I'm still not in a position to commit to this ride until I get a few weeks into
physical therapy and see how that works out.
If all goes well I most likely will still make it and stay where ever there
is an opening or haul my trailer and stay at a campground.
If I can make it I will defiantly be riding the new quad.

Just wondering, when are you going down? I have a trip planned to go to hatfield mccoy with a friend in early april, but I live in NY and if by chance anyone had any room for me in the trip in may I would be definitely interested.Varmint wrote:I'm working my crew now. My buddy & I are now definately going to the Rockhouse system May 13-15. Unless someone can post (quickly) which lodging facility you've decided on, I think we'll reserve our own cabin this week. Possibly at Twin Hollow campground. Probably do our own thing on Friday & hope to hook up with the KDX crew on Saturday. We might possibly have room for 2 more in our cabin. Won't know for sure till later.

Damn I'd like to ride with you guys, and now the buddy I was set to go with april 5-9 isn't sure if he can make it, but at least I know you guys will be down there riding in may if april doesn't work out. Twin hollow is the ticket man, the view from the cabins is insane, they are clean and RIGHT off the trail.

+1 FOR TWIN HOLLOW. OWNERS ARE GREAT. WORD OF ADVICE. DON'T RIDE OFF THE THE "MARKED TRAILS" AS I RECIEVED A $100 TICKET FROM A RANGER ON A RHINO FOR GOING UP AND DOWN A HILL OFF THE MAIN TRAIL.
"To them, the bike's garage clutter. To us, it's a Beretta, half a mil' in cash, and a forged passport hidden under the floorboards. Whether it's used or not, that choice is always there."

All of Twin Hollow's cabins are booked for that weekend. Same story at atvresort.com for Indian Ridge. Dammit, I knew we were dragging our feet too much. We need to find someplace to stay right away fellas, or I'm just gonna do the tent thing at Twin Hollow. They have plenty of campsites available.... for now.

CT group is all set. We are in Gilbert. We are near Twin Hollows. thanks Tom!
Can we get a head count and where we are all staying?
4 (so far) from CT staying at the Devil Anse Trail House cabin.
Arriving May 11 departing May 15.

2 for sure May 13-15, also staying at Devil Anses Trail House.... in the lodge. (Could have one more joining us. Hope to know soon.) Either way, we should have room for 1 or 2 more in our abode but would need to know by Thursday night. Otherwise I'll reserve a smaller & cheaper room.Varmint wrote:4 (so far) from CT staying at the Devil Anse Trail House cabin.

I just went through this entire thread and it looks like I jumped the gun on booking the location. I thought because every place was booked that we were the last to get accomodations when in fact we were the first.
Sorry about that.
It sounds like sped66 and I have some room in our spots in case Jeb's team can find a place. I think Devil's Anse still had room for a few more.
I'm sure it'll all work out and we'll have a blast.
