I know 2 people who have been there on multiple occasions, I'll talk to them and get some specifics.

Well . . . maybe. The only commitments thus far are from Rick and myself, and if we're the only ones from the site we're opting for Hatfield and McCoy (Black Mountain is closer to many suggesting they may come but H&M seems to have more to offer).

A BTW: I did a quick route check from your neck of the woods and, while it's a long haul for you, the distance to either is roughly the same for you.

I'm checking on the status of accomodations because it will be hot and having a place to "chill" will certainly heighten the enjoyment!

Are you considering the trip?!

Making reservations in the morning . . .

The cabin is in Gilbert, WV. Right along the river. Great price and comfortable.

It comfortably sleeps 5 so we'll be looking for 3 other riders. I hope some folks from the website can come . . . at least one.

PM me if you're interested.

Not looking so good, guys (at least for me an the ol' man). We just dropped 500 into the boy's mouth and will have to drop another 500 in two weeks. the price you pay so your kid can have healthy, straight teeth. Eh, he's worth it.

Sorry. (VERY!)

Yes, some things are actually more important than riding, the kids being at the top of that list . . .

but it's a darn short list, isn't it!!

And there's still a September trip our your way. Maybe you could set it up?

An update:

Made a reservation at a different cabin because the cabin mentioned was reserved within the last 2 days! Price is about the same (most of the cabin rates are very similar) but it has 4 twins (2 bunks), 2 full-sized futons, and a queen, meaning that it sleeps 7 pretty comfortably. Big screen TV w/ cable and DVD. Full kitchen with cooking/eating utensils and coffee maker. One of the owners said they're located 100 yards from a trail access (not the formal one) and the grocery stores/fuel is 2 miles or so down the road (which you're allowed to ride your bike - town ordinance!

Located on the river for viewing pleasure while seated on the wrap-around porch.

Right now we have 3 more "very possibles" for a total of 5 . . . so there's room for 2 more.
