Midwesterner Ride

Post by radonc73 »

Rick and I have been talking about getting a ride together. He lives in KY by Cinnci and I live in the Chicago area. We were judging interest in a trip to LBL or another spot in the IN or KY area. It would probably be in the Spring. If anyone is inetrested let us know so we can narrow down a weekend in April or May.
Edit:
How does Labor Day sound? 1 vote from Inda for Taylorville, IL.
I put a poll up so we can guage interest to see how big a group.

On memorial day, We always have a huge pool party. Weve kinda addopted this holiday, so everyone plans on coming every year. Fourth of July is even worse for me. My wifes parents sell fireworks and shoot off big displays, so needless to say, ill be busy for a month around then. Any other ideas?

I'm definately interested. Interestingly enough, I was just looking at my planning calendar today at work and was contemplating when and where . . .

Right now I'm good for Memorial Day weekend - and could take a vacation day or two off and make it a long, butt-kicking weekend. At the same time, I'm not at all opposed to another weekend so Rick could come out. I'm pretty much free with the exception of the second week of April (spring break for the youngins).

Rick - if you're interested and because we're not an hour away from each other, we could share the ride / cut costs kind of thing if timing works out for ya . . .

Yo Stringburner - you out there? I know it's a bit of a drive for you . . .

So far I took and it's approved for vacation time:

Labor Day: Thursday though Monday
4th of July: The entire week
Memorial Day: Thursday though Monday

I get the most vacation bang for the buck taking extra days on these holidays.

I am open to just about any weekend at South Fork with a little notice though.... :supz:

Well August 10th I am supposed to have our first child, I doubt I can do much after the 4th of July.  It may be a struggle just about any time but the more notice the better the chances.

Thanks, I have been dying to tell people but we want to wait for the 12 week mark before we tell people at work but I figure I can tell people I know online. I want to take a big trip somewhere before August, I know it will be the last for a few years.

'Guess the best thing to do is to find out in person come Memorial Day, eh?

I could leave straight from work Wednesday the 23rd (unless I meet up with other riders), slip out a little early, and get there by nightfall . . . be ready to roll Thursday morning!
