COLORADO KDXers! September 23-24...

Post by Wudscrasher »

...is our club's annual Grizzly-Helena Ride. It skirts the eastern edge of the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area east of Steamboat, CO and west of Walden, CO. We pick this time of year due to the fact that the stream crossings won't kill you now, and the Aspen forests the trail splits are fooking incredible. Epic, pure singletrack. :supz: Views that make you dribble pre-mix in your shorts. :butthead: This is one of the few hidden singletrack gems that are still open in Colorado. :partyman: If you live in Northern/Central Colorado, and you own a KDX, and you read this site....get off your a$$!!! This ride is why I ride...It's what I live for every friggin year. If you want to join me/us, respond here, and I'll provide directions. The ride is also posted on http://www.nctr.net.

Kinichiwa, bitches....

Oh, m0rie....it's beautiful, man....Colorado Mike and any other lurkers need to go on this ride before they die. Seriously, it's that good. I did this ride in late September a few years ago, and riding through Aspen 'tunnels' was fooking amazing. For those that will puss out and miss it? I'll have pics of what you missed. Go and die a sad death because you never rode G-H...

FYI....

I saw this on nctr.net website earlier today. If anyone is going to ride on Sunday weather permitting, post it and maybe we could get some lerkers like myself to show up....

SATURDAY'S RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER. SUNDAY RIDE AT EITHER GRIZZLY-HELENA OR SNYDER CREEK. CALL OR EMAIL GENE FOR UPDATE.

Yep, saw that yesterday. Oh, well. I'm not going due to a back injury, but to drive from Ft. Collins for just a day trip that is probably going to be rough-going anyway, so I'll pass. Snyder Creek is an excellent ride as well. It wouldn't surprise me that it will be cancelled totally.

FYI, in order to ride on a NCTR ride, you have to be a member (lawyers & that stuff require it), which is $20/year.
