Pro_X Connecting Rod Kit ??

Post by OLHILLBILLY »

Anyone use a Pro-X rod kit in their KDX? Kit has the rod, big end bearing, and crank pin. Any problems with it I should know about? Doubtful, but just checking.
Starting to gather parts for a complete motor rebuild this spring, fleabay deal on this particular item.

That would equate to a OEM Rod Kit I imagine. Good, bad or indifferent....

wiseco, hotrods, or pro-x, whichever one you get a better deal on. Never heard any problems with any of them.

I prefer OEM parts. Especially for the big end. Too much Chinese junk being sold by the aftermarket.

Each to their own, i reckon. I'd be perfectly comfortable with any of the aforementioned parts in my bike.

Quote I found on the Pro-X site.. "Pro-x Racing Parts are mainly manufacturered in Japan by reputable Original Equipment Manufacturers".
Pro-X apparently IS OEM, just in this case $30 cheaper.
Good 'nuff for me.
