Swingarm/linkage bearings

Post by ditton »

Hello again.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for replacement swingarm and shock linkage bearing manufacturers?
I have seen Pivot Works and All Balls, just wondering if most people have a preferance.
I doubt mine have ever been replaced/serviced and plan on doing so in the spring.
Also, do most people find they add more grease and if so, is there a brand/type that is also recommended.

Thanks in advance

I think most guys prefer pivot works to all balls.

SOme folks press the bearign sout and take them donw to the local bearing supplier and buys some commercial grade bearings for it...

There are lots of threads on linkage bearings worth looking at.

I've had best results with OEM on both the KDX and the CR hybrid.

I just wish I would service them as much as they need it.

I have had bad luck with all balls sets on my mx bikes, but it was the spacers, and inner races that were all over the place on size, and unuseable. The bearings (which I think are cheap Chinese) were fine.

My KDX only had one bad bearing, so I replaced it at the local bearing shop.
