I'd take my fat ass on a E series 200 anywhere a 220 could go and probably a lot farther

i guess it all depends on where you ride & how you ride...open space areas with lots of wide open throttle then yep the 200 is the faster bike....tight trails & wooded climbs then i`d have a 220 any day as they are tuned for low down grunt straight out of the crate with plenty of traction just when you need it...with the right exhaust, jetting & gearing they`re even better...either bike is a very good motorcycle...just depends on what you want to use it for....p.s i ride a 220 & love it

Regardless of the pro 220 arguments, the 200 is a better and more flexible base to build from. It's easier to give a 200 more torque than it is to make the 220 fast.

My experience, having had several of both bikes, is very much otherwise. I've swapped both aftermarket fmf pipes, reeds, tried head mods, and different jetting...getting the kind of torque out of the H model 200 that the 220 has with its different porting, smaller carb, and a few cc's more, well, not so easy. E model engine is best of both worlds, IMO - but has a more antiquated chassis seemingly more tuned for portly dudes than lean, manly-man woods riders.

I wonder if all this answered the OP's question....

Probably so. Either one would be fine, eh?

My 220 has the RB Designs Head & Carb Mod, as well as FRP Cylinder Porting. This 220 now has an even BETTER LOWEND & MORE ON TOP. Little girls know what a NICER RIDE IS, so that's why they choose the 220 :supz:

Hey, we are KDX owners on a KDX site. There really isn't much for us to argue about so we have to have a little sibling rivalry 2 b keeping it real on 'z interwebz!

Now, 200's rule and all you 220 owners can just get over it! :butthead:
