Lmfao...you didn't answer my questions.I don't care about ci I asked how you able to safely run those c/r's and what headss you're running.you acted like it was a big secret and gave me a half assed vague answer.



My current engine is just a little bitty 302 and 150shot of spray and has went 7.57 in the 1/8 and I drive it almost 100 miles round trip to the track something I'm guessing you can't o with that 347?

Anywho bro thanks for the advice and help on the kdx so far its been greatly appreciated.I figured id be ok running 87 since the info I found on these kdx's say theyre something like 7:5.1.

I run 100LL AV gas in just about everything other than my truck. The two CR250s have had the heads modified by RB Designs. I'm going to send the KDX head and carb to RB along with triple clamps, stem, etc. as soon as I can afford to. (Keeping up 5 dirt bikes and 2 ATVs isn't cheap!) I haven't checked the compression on anything. When I send a head to RB I ask him to set the compression for AV gas. I have no idea what compression numbers I am getting on anything. I haven't checked.

my motor is a little bit of a secret! i told you what heads, and head gaskets im running...."I' have never got a head gasket!....i quess i know a little more about compression and detnation :hmm: :grin: ....my old motor in the black gt in the video has run a best of 6.98 in the 1/8.......STOCK bottom end on a 125 shot, in the video it went a 7.15 on a 90 shot! all in a STOCK suspension STREET CAR, full interior....that is daily driven......and btw, who cares if i can drive my car 100 miles? i have other cars that will! i also have a 79 t/a 4 speed car that will run the 1/8 at a 7.60 on motor, on street tires, and is daily driven and your the one that called bullshit on my car! i wasnt try to be a smartass, like i said, i did answer your question, your asked what heads, i told you afr 205, you asked what head gaskets, i told you cometic mls......why should i tell you more? as far as you not seeing anyone running these compression ratio's and lasting??? i dont know what to tell you.....i know of alot of cars running more than me and dont have a problem, like the white lx that shands on the bumper in the video, and gets out of it......he is running a small block ford, with 12.1 compression with a 500 shot fogger, and a 200 plate!!! makes 980 hp AT THE TIRES! on just the 500.

Yep, no ping, no worries. .008 isn't that much....You can only do so much with a gasket. Most run 93. Non-eth is generally available at a marina, BTW.
Now I do call bull **** on a sbf under boost running (atleast for very long) of any kind running a 12:1 c/r.bro I've raced every year for over 10yrs and am ford certified and was a tech for years before and after the military and mustangs mostly have been my choice to build off of and have owned 27 different 79-93 fox bodies with countless engine combos and have yet to see one go that high with 6lbs and spray not spit the head gaskets constantly even o-ringed.what type of huffer you using and at those c/r's how often you putting head gaskets in it?also what type of heads you using?I run 1/8 what do you drag?
In another post he says 11.1:1. You need to get to some bigger races I think :cool: These types of combos are common and live well, but generally with electronic fuel/ignition management only, and with proper modern cam selection. It certainly doesn't take much to make them pop. It's VERY wise to data-log, and creep into the tune. Budget, I'm not trying to dog you, but it's odd to tout such a resume, but ask such a question. You should know that getting all the compression you can, on your desired fuel is a good thing. The only evil in this equation is detonation. 2-cycle detonation will sound just like 4-cycle detonation...A rattling noise...Just a lot more rapid (motor is turning close to 2x the RPM)...Light if your lucky. VERY light detonation can generally be heard easier from an onlooker with a keen ear on the exhaust. On a silenced 2-cycle, believe me you'll hear it. Sounds like you are all good to go.

BTW, I'm crewing for the green stang this year...Can't wait! Last car (drag radial F-body) was a 13:1 406 SB2 with 2 huge kits, FAST injection, 6000rpm glide, and 7530T ignition. The ignition/fuel feed/fuel selection is everything. None of us are really engine builders....We leave that up to the best when it comes to this crazy stuff. We're OK at it though, and have to be able to tune it of course. The new tech is nuts. New 450" SBF car has same ign, twin 88's, and a liberty, and it's still a bit like bringing a knife to a gun fight. :shock: Hopefully we'll do OK, and not break much...esp the motor!

Kdx ur full of **** bottom line!everyone and their brother Knowes a 302 is only for 550hp at best go online and look at the forums littered with pics of overdone sbf's split down the middle!now I'm not going into this anymore because this is just a **** swinging contest!

what is a k block????? the stock 5.0 block is either a y or x block. but anyway, theres no hard feelings............and assuming around where i live is what causes you loose money on a race! :wink:........never assume, especially with me, i tend to "not tell the whole story".....and you have to be really specific on what you ask, because thats all im going to answer"may not still be the whole truth!" :lol: .....thats why its called stock suspension "grudge" racing.....in other words........lets say your running a 6.50........ill back out of my car and run a fender ahead, and run....oh say a 6.48.....then someone with a 6.20 car will want to put money on a race, thinking i run mid 6,..........well, they assumed and lost there money.....get it now?? forget eveything FORD tought you, if you think about it, nothing that is built like our cars, dont have a ford/chevy/mopar? part left in them, it all aftermarket!!! like i said, i wasnt being a smartass, i just dont see giving info for no reason, and you was the one trying to tell me what i had, and couldnt run. :doh: .........
