Can anybody give me the dimensions (inside/outside diameter, width) for the gasket the seals the pipe to the cylinder? I can't get an OEM one and will try to find one somewhere else.

I think it's a metal ring....although you may know that. In fact, I need one too AND I need the 2 rubber o-rings that go on the pipe as well.

ihf is correct, it is a metal ring. You can pick it up at most on-line dealers for $4-5 or if you want a little more power down low you can get Fredette's Torque Ring for $10. http://www.frpoffroad.com/productdetail ... ogId=-1039

Funny, the factory metal ring is $5 but the O-rings are $10 each.

I just bought the two O-rings and the metal ring too. Pipe was leaking untill it warmed up enough to swell and seal it. Made the pipe a gooey mess.

Thanks for the help, I'm not able to get the OEM ring, but think I have found a substitute. Funny thing is, the online manual makes doesn't show or mention this part.

I always look up the fiche on ronayers.com or bikebandit.com for all parts.

So do I, but a lot isn't available to here. Sometimes you have to order, wait weeks and then get a shock when the bill arrives.

Even though the KDX was made in Thailand, parts are imported as the bike wasn't sold here. A lot of KLX parts fit, even when the numbers are different.

In this case I will try the ring from a locally made KR150 (2T road bike), a lot of parts from this bike fit, but the mircofiche is not available online, so I'm trying to get hold of a printed version.

Ouch. I checked and shipping on the $5 part to Bangkok is $65. Believe I'd give the Copper RTV a try.

While we are on this topic...

I just got the replacement o-rings and metal washer and went to install them. The metal washer has a flat side and a curved side but the one that came out was so old it was crushed flat. Does anyone know if the flat side goes to the engine side or does it go to the pipe side?
BTW I found mine on BikeBandit but after more research this site is cheaper...http://www.kawasakipartshouse.com/
