Not sure on the year

Post by maseh2os »

Hey all, another craigslist ad to run by you.

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/mcy/2050178211.html

It says it's an '88, but I thought the white ones were only '90. Could they have gotten white plastics for an '88?

Thanks

No there were white ones other years. Plus if it was newer than 1988 it wouldn't be air-cooled, and this one clearly is air-cooled.

It definitely is an '88. I have one just like it. The silver frame looks nice with the color scheme on this model. The '88 was also the first year model with the PWK carb.
It looks to be in great condition. Price is maybe slightly high depending on condition. I have lots of spare parts for them if you get it and need anything. The weakness of these bikes seems to be the magnets falling off of the flywheel.
