Leaky Seal

Post by blimpman »

I have a leaky seal on the shaft for the clutch actuator. Can this be replaced from the top?

Also... I put a full quart (946ml) of trans fluid in the gearbox. Would that extra amt cause the seal to leak from over filling?

I wouldn't worry about it

Mines been leaking for almost 8 years

And ya, the more you put in the more it'll leak

You can't get the arm out with side cover on because of the way it fits with the push rod, and the seal can't be removed with the rod in place. So to change that seal you would need to pull that side cover.

I would replace it, but I am a little OCD and can't have anything on my bike that I know is broken/failing LOL.
