Just use 2-cycle oil. Warm it up fully on the stand, check for leaks (can shut off for a min), then go flog it. Vary RPM range/load. I usually go up a size on the main from what would be correct that day.

thanks, i'll be doing this tomorrow and let everyone know how it goes. so i can clean my cylinder with a scotch brite pad and then put a layer of premix on the wrist pin bearing, piston skirt, and cylinder wall? Is there anything else I need to do upon reassembly.

thanks,

john

That's all I use, the same oil I mix in the gas.

I find that at first it won't want to rev out. That's O.K., keep pushing a bit on that limit. After 10 or 15 minutes run time it should break in and wind right out.
