Broken oil level gauge

Post by bmase »

Broken Oil level window. Freak accident taking the bike off of my carrier put the brake pedal right through the oil level window. Does anyone know if these can be replaced easily. I know there is a part number, I just did not know how hard they are to change.

I think they just pop out. IIRC you can even do it from the outside.

Wow, thanks. That will certainly be good news because the part is only $9.00, opposed to paying for a new clutch cover.

Yeah they are easy to replace. They are a "friction" fit and just push in. Just don't push on the glass while doing it or you will find you need to order another one LOL.

Thanks, it's why I still have this bike and love it. It is the least expensive to maintain out there. This problem was totally my fault, and I am probably lucky the pipe is not smashed as well. :supz:
