Wide footpeg suggestions

Greetings,
My new-to-me 2004 KDX 220 needs some wider footpegs. The stock ones have my boots falling off the outsides of the pegs. Not good.
What brands would you suggest? An extra 1" - 2" in width would be great. I'm not so much concerned about additional front to back length, as I like to be able to pivot my feet, and adding front to back length can sometimes inhibit this.

Try these pegs, they are cheap but work well http://www.d2moto.com/c-481-foot-pegs.aspx
I did have to re-bend the spring though.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

I actually have 1-1/2" wider pegs on my KTM 950 Super Enduro and having a full platform for my boots to rest on allows me to be in better control of the bike (100 rwhp) and affords a more enjoyable ride.

I welded "extensions" onto the rear of the stock pegs. Be careful if you go this route, though. Any extension to the rear, on the right peg, will limit kick starter travel. I ended up rotating my kick start lever one tooth forward on the splined shaft, and it is easy to get a good kick on it now.

Sorry but we ride places that big pig won't go

Pegs that wide would really suck on tight single track and side hills

THANK YOU!!! I've been hunting for wider pegs for the wife's TTR-230, this might be the ticket if I can figure out which one of these fit a TTR (with or without some filing/drilling).

Can anyone tell me if the stock footpegs changed during any year on these bikes?
It seems that if all the stock 200 and 220 KDX footpegs were the same, there's alot of bikes that could make it financially profitable for an aftermarket supplier provide to wider ones.

Update..

I have an '89 E-1.... They don't fit very well on this bike. i think they were for 1991 and up...
The base is thinner than the two flanges that the bolt passes thru. I shimmed that up to fit right but the base of the footpeg is not shaped correctly to make the peg sit level. There is no way the spring would ever work either. They end up in a 20 deg downward sag. I can modify them to make them fit but I'd would advise everyone to pass on the ebay version.

for 89 - 94, try some yz250 pegs. I have a thread around here on it. They work very well, and there are many models you can use.

FYI, there's no difference in the peg mounts from 89 - 94.

I bought some of those cheapie pegs too. Don't fit well, had to bend OEM springs and the outside edge of the pegs bend easy if you drop the bike in rocks....which I do regularly

I've about bent them to the point where they are smaller than the OEM pegs....don't know what I'll do next....maybe go back to the OEM if I can figure out how to bend the springs back.

I think KX250 pegs from 96 fits fairly well with a little manipulation.

I was looking for wider pegs than stock. Is the KX250 footpegs larger than the 89 KDX200 stock versions?

Yes... about perfect.

They are what I put on my brothers KDX... KDXButterfly could go out and take a pic of them on the bike.... if we can wake her up!

What did you have to "manipulate"?
