First real issue I have had with the KDX.
I rode in Colorado and Moab, UT. The bike was running like a scalded dog
Rode it yesterday and it was running great.
Went to go for a ride today and the bike would not start. seemed to be getting fuel. When I checked spark it seemed a little weak.
I have a lot of hours on the top end so kind of worried about that too.
Looking for troubleshooting tips

Disconnect your kill switch, and look for pinched wires up around the steering neck. IIRC, the spark on these bikes normally looks weak, though.
The motor needs 3 things to run: proper mixture, properly timed spark, and compression.

I hate to bring it up but was it running good or exceptionally good? My unfortunate experience in the past with other bikes and quads is they run the best just before they die.
Did you check the compression?

It was running very good. I had to jet it when I went to CO. I had it pretty lean. 142/38. I re-jetted when I returned to OK. it is currently at 155/42.
I put a readyfilter brand air filter on it. between the last ride and the time it would not start. gonna pull that and see what happens

Kill switch

I have had two bikes suffer from a bad kill switch. The same symptoms that you describe. One of them had a weak spark, the other had an occasional spark. I disconnected the kill switch and they fired right up.
It's worth a try.
