I did a search, apparently there is a thread on shock rebuilding, but I couldn't find it.
i live in thailand where labor is very cheap and they will normally repair things that elsewhere would be thrown out.
However I've been told by several mechanics not to try rebuilding my shock, there are ppl who will do it but I'm told it will only last a day or two before the seal goes again.
Any guesses why this would be? Could it be due to them trying to reuse the old seal? Or maybe there's nowhere that can add the nitrogen?

I live in singapore and so far rebuild my shock twice already. everything look and work good. just have to send it to a good mechnics who knows his job to do it well. do not reuse old oil seal. also check the bladder, change it if have to. if your shock got wear marks on the chome shaft then maybe not worth to rebuilt. might as well get a use shock from ebay. might be cheaper that way.
BTW where can i get OEM KDX parts in thailand? any address? might over soon. Cheers

Go to http://www.racetech.com/
They will have everything you need. The shock is easily rebuildable, and I have done it many times with no parts. Most folks recommend replacing the seal head, though.
