Ever break off the nipple on your fuel cap?
I've done it a couple times
New cap is around 25 bux and the damn hose fits so loose, it just pops off about every time I crash
Another thing I found out last time I ordered a new cap, It did not come with a new o-ring
This time I headed for the hardware store, determined for a quick fix
What I found is one of these 1/4" thread x 3/16" nipple
Just needed to drill out the original hole with the proper sized bit and thread the fitting into the hole
Added a 2' piece of 3/16" fuel hose
Total cost was under 5 bux

Kinda hard to get impaled with that rubber hose on it. That hose takes a helluva lot of force to remove
Plus my Cycoactive BarPack bag covers it

Just be careful when drilling the hole
I did mine on the drill press, being extra careful in case the bit grabbed...
It did and the bit knocked out the lower section of the cap
