No 220 for 06

Post by m0rie »

WTF? There is no 220 listed anymore on the buykawasaki site, just the 200. Seems like the US might be loosing it as well? I wonder if Kawi is trying to clear a spot for a KDX thumper?

First: No, I was not about to buy a 2006 KX125 or KDX220R.

That is pretty disturbing to see no 220. I guess they finally figured out a way to stop the cracking pistons. I doubt there is going to be any 2006 off-raod racing bike. By "off-road racing bike", I mean Honda CRF250X, Yamaha WR250F or KTM EXC/MXC. Something in the current technology area and resulting $6,00 price range.

With so few differences, it seems the 220 never was a "needed" model anyway. It seemed like a Japanese model they could sell in the USA. :?

Thanks for keeping me informaed, m0rie. I see on the buykawasaki site that no 2006 KX125 is listed. R & D ain't what she used to be...KX450f = $6,799
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

If I were to buy a 450F of any make it'd be the new KX 450 F bike. I read a review on it and it seems to be very impressive. It looks like Bubba's going to get a new ride next year in the way of the 450F model. All's I can say is look out R.C.!! I watched a race that Ricky was on his 450 Suzuki and ran down and passed Bubba on his KX 250. The 450f is just to much bike for the 250 to hold off I think. It should be a real interesting Motocross season next year.
