I just installed a FMF desert pipe and silencer on my totally stock 1996 KDX 200. Now it feels like a 125 on steroids. It rips at top end and high RPMs but absolutely no low end now. It will not chug uphills now and is very hard to ride in the technical stuff. It will bog out unless your on the pipe. Any advice on restoring bottom end? Or should I just sell the pipe and get a woods pipe? Any feedback on the woods pipe?

There's a fella who recently put a woods pipe on his 220 and wasn't happy, perhaps ya'll should hook up and discuss a trade?? I'll have to remember who it was....

Thanks for the helpful input. I am going to go with the woods pipe. I would be willing to trade if his pipe is in good cond. There is only 1 ride on my desert pipe so it looks brand new. Thanks again for your replies

uhh...........did you jet the bike for the pipe? if you didnt jet it, that explains why you are getting that bottom bog{lean}. you need to jet it.

I will let you know. I am going to try the jetting 1st. Seems like a cheap fix.
