RM 80

Post by ejweick »

Does anyone have any experience with a Suzuki RM 80? I just picked up a 2000 model for my son. Where is the best internet forum?

make sure you run 32:1...my wife has a kx100 and we run amsoil. Those 80's are real pipey bikes, but run well when they are kept on the pipe. I'm not sure on the forum, but you could check out dirtrider.

Try http://www.motosouth.com/forums/index.php? first.

If you have no luck at Motosouth (I think you will), try http://www.allthingsmoto.com/.

I checked out the sites above as well as Dirt Rider and some others. I've been pretty dissapointed. Maybe I'm just spoiled by this forum, and ThumperTalk for my 4T needs. If anyone knows where the RM 80/85 guys hang out on the web, let me know.

I am not awre of any "Mini" forums, but the RM 80 has long been reviewed as the 80 with the best motor, ie - user friendly power band, with the strongest low end and mid-range of all of the 80's.
My experience with RM's in general is that they are good bikes, but pay close attention to clutch baskets (Hinson is your friend) and power valve parts.
