Swingarm, Footpeg, Handlebar Paint Colors

Post by KDXGarage »

In case anyone is interested, I figured out where to buy the correct shade of paint for the swingarm, footpegs and handlebar on most folks bikes, plus the 2003/2004 and 2005 frame color paints.

This is the 2003 - 2004 frame paint color:

Here is 2005:

Look on ronayers.com for your color for your year. Most folks have known about the PJ1 lime green, but maybe this will help anyone looking to protect some other metal parts other than the frame.

Cheers for the info, I need to repaint a previously polished swingarm when I could be bothered to do the bearings.

No problem, KAY DEE EXER. You can check on the http://www.ronayers.com microfiche. It shows the color names for a few parts. I found the Color-Rite site and searched through it to find the proper paints. They are pretty high on price, but if it is just touch-up, it may be OK. Perhaps the information could be used to go to a local paint store and get some paint, as well.

They have two paints switched on their site, so if you use the search function, it won't come up properly. Just use the links I listed.
