V-Force cage installation

I received and installed my V-Force reed cage last night. I noticed that the cage has a small tap on the top which only serves to carry the V-Force logo. This tab interfered with the cylinder casting, and would not alow the cage to seat tightly unless I trimmed a portion of the tab off with a dremel or some other means. I looked at the reed cage, and it appeared completely symetrical, so I just flipped it over and placed that logo tab at the bottom. My bike ('04 KDX200) runs much stronger now.
I was just curious if others had encountered this "tab" issue.
Thanks!

I have not installed a V-Force on a KDX, but on my KTM and my sons KX 100 the logo was located on the side of the reed cage not on the top. I am not sure if it can be turned that way on a KDX.

The logo tab definately can only go on the top or the bottom on this model. I thought that I had read somewhere on a forum that it was important *not* to mount it upside down, but, looking at it closely, it appears completely symetrical so I could see no reason not to do so, other than the pretty little purple logo can not be seen at all from the bottom.
If someone were to give me a reason that I should remove it, grind off the tab, and re-install it, I would surely do so.
I will re-read the instructions again to make sure that there is no definitive top and bottom. The cage is not marked as such.

BTW - this version comes with a small note telling you not to run the reeds in the low tension setting, or you will experience significantly reduced reed life.

I don't think there could be a difference top to bottom.
I wonder why they put the logo on top instead of on the side as they do for other models?

Maybe that is why it was only $75!
