msr pro raptor clutch perch/lever

Post by Julien D »

Anyone use one? Like it? Would you buy another? Looking for something to ease the clutch pull without dropping $200 on a magura jack.

I have both. I have the Raptor on mr cr250 and the magura on the KDX. First the magura does not ease the pull of the clutch. It is slightly lighter in pull, but not enough to spend that if that is all your looking for.

The raptor does ease the pull and has three different positions for the cable to adjust the ease of pull. The only real downside of the raptor is that you have to use the raptor levers only. Since most of us are running bark busters of some sort breaking levers is not much of a problem. I have my raptor set on the easiest pull and it is ridiculously easy to pull.

Back to the magura I really like it and will eventually pony up to put one on the cr. I like the self adjustment of it and it is very linear in engagement. The hydraulic clutches seem to give a feel and feedback that the cables do not.

Hope this helps.

I also have the raptor pro and its quite a bit better pull than a KTMs.They are a bit fragile, dont over tighten the perch mount.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info guys. Most times I'm just fine, but going down some of those tight ST trails my clutch fingers get awfully cramped up. I love the hydraulic clutch on my buddies KTM, hence my consideration of the magura setup. I just can't spend that kinda money right now though.....

I really like the ASV's on my bike.
Clutching is with 1-2 fingers.

I got it at my local shop, before it had like a pointer and three little nothes where it would fit into for the three locations of the clutch cable. Now its just a swivel so that part looks better, and the perch looks a little thicker.Still works nice and smooth like the old version,I have it at the lightest position.
