KDX Tool Kit

I bought my KDX 200 used and it did not come with a tool kit. The tool bag on the fender is appx. 6"x5"x2". Anyone know where to get a tool kit that will fit in the stock fender bag? Thanks.

There's a lot of stuff for the KDX there. About the best place I know of on the internet for OEM stuff. Of course, you can always try a local dealership. Try again with this link: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/makes/2- ... AOEMKAW023

All you really need are basic tools. Here is a list of what I carry. I don't carry it in the rear fender mounted bag as that has other uses for me.
Long handled phillips and flat screw drivers
Tire spoons
T-handle w/sockets (8mm through 13mm; from RMATV)
8, 10, 12, and 13mm wrenches
3/8" drive ratchet with socket for rear axle nut and sparkplug
Small pair of Visegrips (genuine, not cheap knockoffs!)
CO2 inflator and two cartridges
Patch kit
All carried in a Tusk front fender bag
The only tool I have used while out riding has been the flat screwdriver and that was only for suspension adjustment. I truly love the reliability of
the mighty KDX!

You probably do not want to stuff too many tools in that fender pack. They can bounce around and eventually rip the bag. I just keep a spare plug (in a case) and the stock plug wrench in there, banded together and wrapped up loosely in rags to keep them from moving around.

It may sound like a lot but it really isn't. Also, I haven't noticed a problem but I do keep it adjusted very tight so nothing moves while riding. Eh, I guess time will tell!

Holy Crap! I took the BELL multitool http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images ... ting-goods off of my Mountain Bike, should work for some basic stuff, but will definitely get a few more things. Thanks. Sure is a pretty pathetic "Tool Kit", but maybe Kawasaki has as much confidence in the KDX's reliability as many here have said. I would be lying if I said that wasn't one of the reasons I went with the KDX, a reliable 2-Stroke. For my purpose so far, I couldn't ask for a better bike. Weekend before last I went with a friend to the Sam Houston National Forrest to trail ride. Man what a blast! 20 miles of wooded whoops, sand, hard packed, soft packed, clay and fallen trees. Same here. I absolutely love the reliability of the KDX. You can strap a 21" tube to your front fender, which will save your day if you get a flat in either the front or rear tire. Almost everything else, I carry in my fanny pack. Some contents: correct tools for removing front of rear wheels, assorted zip ties, short tire irons, CO2 inflator, small visegrips, rubber bands cut out of old tubes, spare master link, and assortment of small nuts and bolts, duct tape.... I keep a length of fuel line inside my handlebars....a cell phone...a small container of 2 stroke oil...

With a KDX, you will almost never need *any* of this stuff.. I usually end up donating it to the folks I am riding with...
