Well I won't argue with that! The only four stroke pipes I have any use for are on my cars and lawnmowers though. ;)

yes, thats what i said twice! fixed around 13 including one{mine} just this weekend. mine was smashed on the side, right where the fmf logo is, fist size, and the pipe also had 3 dents on the front. heat works real good with air pressure in the pipe, i use around 50psi............. if you dont think you can handle the work, pay someone to do it for you. im just not going to pay someone to do something that i can do myself.

Makes perfect sense to me. You ok over there?

Just poking fun man. While I've got a chance to be on about 2 strokes, did anyone see this holeshot?

Yup, that's a 250 2 stroke and a field of 450f's. Hopefully they'll be running it at the Budds Creek national this weekend. Should be exciting!

You going to Budd's? Speaking of Budd's and 4strokes, we went for15+ years, but stopped with the 4-stroke takeover.

Don't blame you, LOL! No, I won't be able to go, but I'll be watchin on speed. Looks like there was some mix up with registration though and the 250 might not be running after all. They're hoping for a cancellation so they can get in, otherwise the first Nationals debut for Project Two 50 will be Red Bud on July 3rd.

how do you pressurize the pipe before welding the ends up? do you install a air valve?

i do not weld the ends up....... i have a plate made with a regulator for the big end, and a plug for the small end. i put 50-60 psi in the pipe, then heat it with a torch until the dent starts poping out. i take a body hammer and lightly get the small enperfections out as i go.

Thats a LOT of pressure. Why not heat up the pipe dent, then pressurize it? I bet the dent will pop out with just a few pounds of pressure vs. the bomb your building. Just a thought....

Really, 5 - 6lbs is plenty. If you like to do it with 50 - 60 lbs, that's fine by me. The only problem I see is that 50 - 60 lbs is going to become considerably more than that when you start heating it. Whatever works for you though.

you run 5-6 psi in your tires!!!??? bet you get greattttt gas mileage!! i may try that.

i only fix aftermarket pipes. try fixing a narly with that 5-6 psi. plus, i dont have all day to set and play with it. i dont put 50-60 pounds in every pipe, i start at 30psi, and if needed, i use up to 60psi..... while watching my gage.... as i heat the pipe. by the way, guess you dont drive a car do you???............... like i said, your tires has 40-80 psi, your radiator has 18psi pressure in it before it releases from the cap, and most are made from plastic............. fuel pressure is 60 psi, guess its a ticking bomb?......... boooooooommmmm... there went your whole car .......... is this a reason not to drive a car? and a meteorite could fall out of the sky, and kill us all too.
