Not sure exactly what I think of it yet. Better than it was I guess... Maybe it'll grow on me? You all know how hard it is to find any AM graphics for an E series KDX.

Opinions? Crappy pic I know. Had to use my phone since my wife has the camera tonight....

here's a pic I took with the good cam after I got the LH side done last night...
Yes, the seat foam and cover bothers me as well, lol. Bike had no seat cover at all when I got it, and the edges of the foam are torn off where it should meet up to the tank.

I like it alot. The bike overall is great. Picked it up cheap, and money is tight, so it got rebuilt a little at a time. Engine is rebuilt bottom and top, rb'd head, 43mm USD's, DG pipe, and this and that. Thought it deserved some purdy stickers. Hunting after frame guards, and I'm gonna need linkage and swingarm bearings sooner than later.....

Looks good to me...what year is that? Stock pipe?

1989. The pipe is a DG, just dirty in this pic. The silencer is stock. My buddy just gave me a DG silencer to match my DG pipe though :).

Here's a pic where you can see the DG. Very nice pipe, i've been quite happy with it...

Did you put the trials tire on it? What does a good trials tire cost? You like it???

Thx Fuzzy!

Yeah, I installed the trials tire early last year. Ive got many many miles on it and it still works as new. I absolutely LOVE it.

Juliend, I think the bike looks awesome. :supz: I hope when I get done with my '90 that it looks as nice as yours.

Thanks guys!

Swingarm bearings are next. When I do that I'm gonna either strip and polish or powdercoat the swingarm. The busted up 90 in the garage has the swingarm polished by the PO on just one side, but that one side looks pretty good so I might go that route.

This junk is all in the members bike profile section, but....

cylinder replate by langcourt
wiseco piston
hot rods rod kit
all balls crank bearings
all tranny bearings replaced
boyeson 607 reeds
RB'd head
DG pipe
WER damper
43mm USD conversion (from a yz250 donor)
Tusk Chub 1 1/8 bars
Moose busters / shields
kx500 number plate and rear fender

ETC and so on and so forth.

Plans for the near future

RB the carb
Replace swingarm/shock linkage bearings
Re-finish the swingarm
New seat foam and cover (I'd like to find a cool cover)

Can't think of much else I need to do with it. It amazes me every time I ride it!

Where did you get the graphics?

Looks great, huge improvement IMO.
I was looking at that graphic kit for my bike, but was not sure it included the tank cover like yours. It doesn't show that in the pic.

They've been backordered on ceets website for quite some time. They have an ebay store though, and once in a while they throw a set up there. I snatched them this time. :D

The quality of the graphics kit seems excellent, very thick and tough.

Thanks, that's encouraging. I wasn't going to spend that kinda money for a shroud only decal.

Yeah, the picture they use shows only the shroud graphics, but it comes with the tank graphics as well.

What year KX rear fender did you use? I just picked up a '94 basket case for spare hybrid parts, but it's so complete that I am considering putting it all back together and running it as-is. If so, new plastic is on the list.
