FMF Gnarly Desert and Woods Pipe Questions

Well, I just picked up a 99 KDX200 and it has some goodies on it.

I joined your forum to see exactly what I had and what I can do to this machine.

It has a FMF Gnarly pipe, but I am uncertain which one I have.

I looked at the FMF website in hopes of getting my answer but they use the same pic for both pipes.

I headed over to the Dennis Kirk website and they show 2 different pics.

From what I am seeing, the Desert pipe has a more flowing, rounded headpipe wrapping around to the chamber. (which looks to be mine)

The Woods pipe looks like it has more of a boxie bend to the head pipe.

Can anyone with a Woods pipe verify this?

For those of you who have actually run both versions, is there really a difference?

What did you notice between the two?

The woods pipe adds to the torque,
the desert pipe adds to top end rev.

And yeah, big difference.
Also, depending on the riding you plan to do with the bike,
you may er may not want to exchange/replace.

Post some photos, specs, and known mods..

Looking at the bike from the right hand side... The Desert pipe almost touches the shroud... the Woods doesn't.

If you have a pic, I can tell you right away.

I run the woods pipe... I have a Desert but doubt I will ever run it. My brother runs the desert pipe and won't run the woods... go figure!

Since I can't upload to the site, I've got to fire up Gimp, resize and upload to Flickr to get those pics. Gonna take a few min.

Known mods:
IMS tank
Gnarly pipe
Turbine Core 2 silencer
New carb, probably stock jetting
Renthal bars

It didn't..........what am I doing wrong?

Should I try another photo site?

Just copy and paste this into your browser until I can figure this photo thing out.
