220 stock bore

Post by johnyblaze »

Did a search and came up empty.

Can someone tell me the stock bore for a '98 220?

My carb and head are on the way to RBD so I'll need a new topend gasket set. My jug has been replated and I want to make sue they didn't overbore it as well. Just want to make sure a stock head gasket will still work.

My bore measure 68.84mm. Does that sound about right?

Thanks in advance.

69mm is the stock bore for a 220.
Sounds like the cylinder is o.k. and will take a stock piston.

Thanks doctord23. The replate was done by a previous owner when he installed the wiseco piston. I just wanted to make sure it was still stock size before I ordered a new gasket to install with the RB head. The bore looks good with crosshatching intact all around.
