The MT16 rear holds up and works well in the AZ Desert.* The MT44 front is the best tire I've used as far as traction.* They are awsome...however, the side knobs will start to chunk off and then your traction is nada.* They don't seem to last as long as the Maxxis SI or the Metezler MC4 (these tires have great traction as well).*
*These are my first hand experiences and opinions with these specific tires...your results may vary. I cannot be held liable for differing experiences.

The MT's did work great! Ya know... I didn't even think about those when I bought my Michelins! DOH!
I think I need to rethink my tire testing progression....

Don't think you can go wrong w/ the Michelin's around here....
When we go to LBL, we'll be able to see how well either the MT's or the S/M's hold up against loose shale, sharp edged rocks....My bet is we chew em all up
