Broken clutch actuator

Post by Tharrell »

1991 KDX 250 the cast part that holds the cable, in front of the actuator arm.
The squid I bought it from used clear silicone to hide it. I didn't see it because the bike was wet. Anyway, anybody got a fix for this?
I know I can use a screw and fender washer, I've seen some other bikes that actually had a manufactured part that bolts on the engine. Just wondering if it's been addressed here or if anyone has some personal experience with it. Thanks

Mine was the same way, on the exact same bike.....silicone and all. I made a bracket that bolts on to the cylinder stud and bent it to hold pressure against the cable. Havent had a problem out of it.

I saw one like that, used the cylinder bolt. That seems to be the best alternative.
