Float level gauge

Post by dave04kdx »

I made a gauge for getting the float level on my carb. I posted a picture in my gallery.

The little gauge is made of UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) plastic. Any plastic or even wood would work. The gauge is .5" thick, the short leg is 16mm from the bottom to the underside of the long leg.The long leg is 50mm long.

The bottom of the 16mm leg rests on the surface of the carb that the bowl mounts to. The bottom of the 50mm leg is used to touch the top of the float to check the level.

It works great, no more calipers, rulers or guessing!
