Yeah, black gripper cover on ebay for $29. KX500 covers work too.

Pretty good looking bike. Inda's absolutely right on the forks, they are stock for 93/94 model.

That bike looks fine for 17 years old and $800.

The other one you had pictured in another thread for $1500 looked like a $1500 bike.

Hmmmm.......Wait 'till you have to decide what the best oil is to use

That thing looks to be in pretty great shape. Better than mine.

Do you plan on doing any off road riding or just sticking to gravel roads? Bikes get dirty, you might want to get used to that part!

Lots of off road riding... But I've been there done that many years ago and I RARELY stored a bike with that much grime build up on them...

And i know if I was trying to sell one, I'd have that sucker spit shined before I listed it...

Working on a 96' right now..but haven't got pics yet from the seller!

My friend bought a similar bike, a 94' KDX for $300. Just to give you an idea of what they can sell for in same condition.

Yikes. Around here, if it's a 2t and it runs, it's bringing about 1k. I got my 89 for $450, but NOT running. Your friend got a killer deal.

I just put a no-name ebay seat cover on my '93...it was for a KX500 but if fits really well and looks great. It takes a bit of time to get it stretched on there tight but it really updates the look of the bike.

I got a 92 with 500 miles on the odo for $300. with a FMF pipe and renthal bars.
It has a funky homegrown dual sport light system which I bypassed for now.
also a leaky gas tank, $40. on ebay.

That's a good deal too! We did pick up a 90 in FL for $125. Mostly there, running, but not well. Needs a boatload of work though......

I am looking at a 96' now... guy says, "I am asking 1500, but that I am not firm on that price"...

I am wavering bad...I rode an 03' DRZ 400 E for about an hour on Sunday! My 3rd hour of riding a deezer in the last 2 weeks... I cant find a dang KDX to ride. I am having a ball riding the deezer. I know I'd like the KDX and am ready to buy one with never even ridden one!! it may come down to who gives me the best deal!

Regardless of which bike i get, I'll be bumming I dont have the other! But I'll still have fun, period!!!! And...theres no rule that says I cant keep one for year year or two then sell it and get the other.... Then go back if I figure I made a mistake!!! :supz:

You won't be bummed if you get the KDX... I have been nothing but happy with mine.
