is it worth keeping spares?

Post by KDXsg »

Hi, I have a 92' KDX 200 till now. Do you think it is worth buying spare parts such as a rear shock and cylinder just in case the ones i am using is no longer serviceable and need replacement. any advices. thanks.

The only spare I'd really get if parts were hard to come by like in singapore, would be cylinder; otherwise not really unless you know something you have is about to go any time...
(and maybe a clutch basket and plates?)

I'd keep some extra sets of power valves, and maybe the kick start ratchet gears. Everything else you should be able to find for a long time to come. Cylinders are pretty easy to find used and then send off for replating or sleeving.
