frp pipe guard

Post by jbowens2401 »

I just received my pipe guard today and it does not fit well. I ordered over the phone and spoke to Jeff. I told him that I have the rev (desert) pipe. I think they may have sent me the wrong one. Can someone who has experience with an frp pipe guard tell me how they fit up. I could probably make it work but there would be a gap between the pipe and guard in more than one place...this just doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks,

John

Same thing happened to me but with E-Line. Turns out that FMF had stamped the pipe incorrectly.

Do you have a pic of your pipe?

Measure the circumference of the widest bell of the pipe and post.

My pipe measures 14 inches at the widest part...I'm pretty sure this is the rev pipe? I called Jeff and he is going to send me another pipe guard. He said his shipping person probably sent the guard for the woods pipe. He was very nice about it, so it's been a positive experience so far.

I think that's the pipe guard Carvr uses, that rusted a hole in his pipe
