Spark Plug Mystery

Post by Tomm9050 »

I found a brand new, but old spark plug in my tool box, probably from a previous bike. It's a NKG Gold Palladium V #B9EV. The threads are a little shorter than the stock B9ES. The question is, will it work in a '92KDX 200?

Thanks

Are you using a 9? You should be running a 8 range plug.

That was before it was known that an 8 is what it should be. You can ask anyone who has ridden KDX's for a while. A 9 is just too cold....

Switch to a BR8ES and see how much better your bike runs.

Most do a .032 - .035 gap....

Manual states .7 to .8 which is .028 to .031

That long winded, old fugger that would answer a simple yes no question with 4 or 5 paragraphs of dribble
