I expect to be getting my head and carb back from Mr. Black later this week. I just received my moose gasket kit today and wanted to know if I need to use any gasket sealer during reassembly.
Thanks,
John

I bought it from a family member who put a weisco in it less than 50 hours ago...he just didn't care to have the extra power otherwise he would have sent the head off. I'm positive he did everything right b/c he is a professional mechanic with 40 plus years experience. The bike was running great, so I didn't even think about installing new rings. Do you think I should...I'm open to doing whatever is best for the bike.
Thanks,
John

That's what I was thinking, but I'm always open to the advice of others who are more experienced than myself. I got really lucky on the bike...it's a 2005 kdx 220 that was bought new in 2007. My uncle only rode it a handful of times before he decided he was to old for a dirtbike and bought a fourwheeler. Most of my riding is done with my 5 and 11 year old daughters, so I spend a lot of time off the bike helping them.
