Found a cheap 1995 KDX out here, but the guy says it's a 220. I believe I remember that 220's came out in '97, because it was the first year also for the KLX300 I bought. I'm getting old though, am I wrong?
It still seems like a decent deal if it's clean. FMF gnarley pipe and SA, new IMS tank and seat cover, new tires and tubes, pro tapers-yada yada. Asking $800 but I'll try to get him down if it's clean enough.
Did they make a 220 in '95?
Thanks
1995 220?

Thanks, that's what I thought.juliend wrote:You are correct, there was no 220 made in 1995. $800 for a 200 sounds good to me if it's a clean bike.
Took her to look at it this evening, seems pretty good, even though he still swears it's a 220 .
The good-Seems pretty clean and tight. Brand new tires and IMS tank. Decent plastic. Runs good but jetted rich, he said it was stock. Cheap.
The bad-Front break felt weak, upper pipe bracket broken and expansion chamber has a ding. No kickstand or headlight. Bad seat cover job. No paperwork, which is common here in NV, where we don't register dirt bikes. I got the VIN # to run. It's not a 220.
Anyway, if the vin checks out and I can grind him down a little I think she'll be getting rid of the TTR230 for it. I plan to get her a FWW and put on my stock exhaust and the lowering link my bike came with. WEEEE!
