rear tire size

Post by coffekid »

I was wondering what the biggest rear tire I could run on my 04 220? It says 100/100 in the manual. Any reccomedations for a good all around tire? I ride mostly trails, dirt, sand and a lot of technical rocky climbs. What tire pressure is everyone running in the rear on similar terrain ? Thanks

A lot of us run a 110/100 or a 120/90

How are moto tires sized? I know autos the first number is a percentage of the width and the second number is the width. Is motos the same?

The first number is the width, and the second number is the height represented by the percentage of the width. For simplicity take a 100/90. It's 100mm wide, and 90% of 100mm tall.

I run 110/100 and it's great. My gang runs the Pirelli MT16. All around good tire and wears like iron.
