Hello All,

Can anyone tell me if the KDX200 motor has rev limiter and if yes, what RPM is it limited to?

Thanks,
Keith

2Ts are generally self-limiting..they spin as high as they are designed to spin (via cylinder porting, exhaust system design).

It's not like you have to worry about valve float..and resulting piston crunch.

If you're used to a 2T that screams (like a 125cc track bike), any KDX is going to seem like something is holding it back.

Thanks guys. I road race four strokes in Lightweight Twins and am accustomed to watching a tach.

Use your arse as your tach. Easy enough to tell when a 2T drops off in power..and that's probably short of the highest it will rev.

...like most engines.

That's hardly an issue in any trail riding situation.
