Do you guys have that problem as well?

The 25 tooth gear that goes in the front hub "pickup" strips out about every 6 moths or so.

What am I doing wrong?? I guess I need to pull that assembly apart and thouroghly clean it on a regular basis??

My odo ran for years, never did clean it, let alone on a 'regular' basis. I'd wipe the drive (on the hub) out and put some grease on it, but never did diddle to the cable drive.

I broke a cable or two..so the drive is stout enough to do that and not be damaged.

So...something is wrong.

You properly fit the drive tangs into the drive? Position the drive slot correctly in the fork nubbin? Cable is good (you should be able to easily spin the cable with your fingers when the cable is disconnected)? What do you torque your axle to?

I'm not saying any of the above will eat the drive assembly. Some of them just things commonly done that aren't right.

Hell, I didn't know there IS a 25-tooth gear in there. ..never paid it no mind.

Have you checked the other parts in the drive? The 41060A gear is OK? The 92022 washer is in place?

Had mine strip out once so far. I use white lithium grease when re assembling.
