Is it possible?

I have been fighting overheating issues with one of my 2 kdxs 220s. Both bikes setup the same except that the "problem" bike has flywheel weight and air striker carb. The other bike has no weight and OEM RBed carb. Jetting on both carbs are the same.
I rode the problem bike today without flywheel weight as well as switching the carbs. It did not loose a drop of fluid.
Is it possible that the weight and/or carb difference could cause the bike to overheat? Or is this just a stupid coincidence? It was cool today. Temps were around 55 degrees. The riding was pretty fast and only did one difficult hillclimb.
So what do you think? I plan on riding the other bike next weekend with the air striker carb to see if it starts having temp problems.
Thanks for your time, Steve
