Spec Listing for KDX

Post by runninn »

New to this site...but raced / ridden since the late 70's.

Is there a general spec list?

My manual hasn't arrived for my 99 KDX200 backup bike...and I am trying to locate the tranny oil capacity/ chain type (520 oring, 108 links?) for maintenance.

:?

thanks

Tranny oil is slightly under a quart but most use an entire quart... doesn't hurt anything and quiets the clutch down a bit.

520 standard chain at 108 stock.

Anything else can be answered too but just be specific.

What CC said. I just bought a '98 200 and I have the owner's manual plus subcribed to the Cyclepedia service manual online. Ask away.

Stock sprockets are 13/47. I put an O-ring chain on and went to 13/50. Had to use a 110 link chain and the stock chain guide is kinda narrow for the O-ring, rubs it pretty bad. I went with the Moose/Fredette one instead.

You meant 'Inda' I s'pose.

Basic specs can be had at the Kawasaki site. There is a downloadable pdf that has everything you normally find on a spec sheet.

Oil capacity is molded into the cover like most bikes. 700cc. That said...

Hey! Thanks for the info. I downloaded the pdf to ponder over while I'm waiting for the manual.

Great site! I'm gonna hit the 'subscribe' button right now!

Cheers!
