1993 KDX 250

Post by victor »

can somebody give me the skinny on the 1993 KDX 250. I currently have a 98 KDX200 but I wanted to pick up another bike so me and my brother can rebuild. since we are going to rebuild the whole bike, i am not to worried about the age. I have never riden one of the older 250's, are they much stronger? how about those blue forks? can i get some pros and cons.

thanks

I have a 91' 250. Great bike. A tad heavier than the 200. Tons of low end, with more bang at mid and high than the 200. It will lug lug lug, but twist the throttle and zooooooom! Ok, not like a late model kx or anything, but very fast. It is a fun bike to ride if you have some experience. The "Blue Upside Down Forks" aren't great. There ok for your average Joe, I guess. They are just a little bit better than the conventionals of that era, imo. The are a little stiffer and rigid than conventionals. I put 00' kx forks on mine. All in all, for the age, I think the KDX 250's are great! I bought a CR250 because of the weight and riding style for me, but have been waiting for a late model MX Rolling Chassis to come my way for a KDX250/??? Hybrid! :supz: Good luck!
Yes, they really do let me drive the Train!
