Quick jetting questions 99 kdx200
I have a 99 kdx200 with new wiseco top and bottom end, fmf gnarly pipe & fmf silencer, boysen power reeds, air box lid removed. I ride in Alabama about 150-300ft elevation in muggy 70-90 weather. I have a 160 main and 47 pilot now, I know thats way rich. What is a good starting point for jet sizes and clip position. I have looked at the steps on the chart but I'm trying to get a ball park figure for starting. Is there a kit that comes with all jet sizes or do you have to get them seperate?

Re: 'fmf gnarly pipe'
That doesn't say much about the pipe. What profile?
A rev (-30) pipe will want one jet or so richer than the torque (-35).
..don't think there is such a thing as a 47 pilot for the PWK.
There are kits available. You generally end up with a lot of stuff you don't need, but having the sizes available for testing is handy even if you end up not using most of 'em.
If you're starting out on a jetting process..attending to other items that affect jetting is a good idea. The reeds for exampe. If you didn't put them in (so have no idea how long they've been in there), at least check them if not replace them. Boyesen power reeds are sturdy..long lasting..but if it's been 3-4 years since they've been replaced you may well find yourself chasing your tail trying to get the carbie sorted out.
Good luck! ...and have FUN finding it!
