Hinson Clutch Basket
Well I obtained a Hinson from a TT Member. It has a Clutch Basket Gear attached to it. The seller believes it may be a 94 KDX Gear. Is this compatable with a 95+ or do I need to remove it.

1. I'd be checking that gear attachment before I put it in my bike. 'Checking' meaning I'd take the screws out to ensure they had loctite on them. I wouldn't trust someone else's assembly..and that gear coming loose isn't something you want to deal with.
You have to take yours out to put it in...so check it then.
I have no idea if the primary gear reduction is the same on the two bikes...and don't know how you could tell from any part look-up.
2. As long as everything is apart, might as well put YOUR gear on it anyway! The gear on your basket has been running with the gear in your bike for a long time. I'd want to keep them together...whether the gear ON the basket fits or not.
...my $.02....
