http://performanceunlimited.com/illustr ... plugs.html ~~~Go there OK now the question what do you guy's or gal's think of this I for one wonder and I am going to give it a go on my raptor then if it seems to help I will give it a go on the kdx..

I used to side gap all the plugs that went into my mustang. Never tried it on my bike, but it made a noticeable difference in the 'stang. Plugs lasted longer and sparked hotter.

Just wondering if you should use a 9 instead of an 8 if you do that....

Me too...Plug reads after the fact should tell all. I've heard of a lot of people doing this 2T and otherwise with (slightly) noticable results, and heard no one mention heat range change...Doesn't mean it might not need it. Point really to to expose more fire. I've tried a recessed electrode equiveleant to a B9, and didn't like it in the low-mid. These are common in the mag-fired karts I run. They are also $15/ea. They perform better at ludacris RPM's or when nitro is involved.

Why would the heat range change? The insulator depth doesn't change.

I recall seeing some plugs that didn't have any ground lead, but instead, the sides of the plug were shaped to curve in towards the center electrode. That way there was a 360* ring for the spark to jump across.

I've seen snow mobile plugs like that

I once had a 81 YZ125, the PO ran a plug like that

Halo plugs?

Don't know a thing about'mm just did a search.

WoW. Summ'a them AND a magnet on your fuel line to align the molecules...you'd have to stop every 100 miles and drain the excess fuel out!!

Oh...and Michigan State, even!! A more prestigious hall of skarlorly learning is knot to be founded!!

OMG...there's a picture of a LawMan putting only ounces of fuel in his cruiser after a Hi-Speed Bubba chase!!

I'm so excited...I think I'm gonna wet myself.............

Look at the sparky picture!!! It's a $500 MSD system on steroids!!

I can't stand it:

'Unlike standard spark plugs that generate a spark at basically the same location each time, the Halo generates rotating sparks that fire in a 360-degree pattern around the circular electrode.'

What a complete, absolute, and total pile of crap.

Two places in arkansas...and a SCHOOL in texas.......I guess that settles it, 'eh?

s'cuse me..I gotta go cozy up to my EdenPure* space heater that's heating my whole house with 1500W!! I'm gettin' chills from the excitement of reading about these plugs!

*Hey! Paul Harvey said it was GREAT!!..so you KNOW it's GOT to be so!!

Man, I have GOT to change my signature line!

I am accepting suggestions...

This last plug has to jump 3 gaps to find the ground. 3 sparks per event.

No spark shielding going on there. Hell...it's hiding behind the insulator all the time!

Re: 'This last plug has to jump 3 gaps to find the ground. 3 sparks per event.'

No...

That's a funny as CFLs saving the world.

('cept for when you have to call the HazMat team if you break one)

Sorry. The oderiferous wafts of bullschtein are in the air.....

Mr. Lectricity Guy: If it only 'finds' ground on the third try..WHAT is it jumping to the OTHER two times??

Psuedo-ground? Make Believe Play-Doh ground? Ground COFFEE maybe?

Thanks for the laugh. I think I hurt a rib or two........

Wait a minute...WHICH two towns in Arkansas.... WHICH school district in Texass ...and WHICH jr. college are saving billions of dollars on the BOSCH plugs?

Fair is fair..Let's compare aples to aples.

And upside down forks are crap too I've heard.
What's that about lighting coils affecting ignition? Lump that right up there with a CFL while you are at it...

Simultaneous. Did you not see that word or do you not know what that word means? No need to feel ashamed to admit it. It's a big word. Has more than one of those syllables.

Compare? You did? Then o.k. you are being fair. Or wait... you didn't actually compare? then NOT fair.

Looks to me like it sparks from the electrode tip, and the 1 or 2 rings around the insulator. Presumably 1 ring on the 2 spark model, and 2 rings on the triple spark beast. So all "simultaneous", as you say. Not so much "hopping".

Anyway, looks good on paper. I'd like to hook one up and watch it spark.

Oops, I was wrong.

It "HOPS", lmao.

http://www.briskracing.com/content/multi-spark.php

Take special note of this paragraph, and the excellent use of grammar and spelling contained therein:

SPECIAL PATENTED PROCESS CONDUCTIVE TITANIUM OXIDE COMPOUND IN SHAPE OF RINGS.

- - BECAUSE THESE RINGS ARE CONDUCTIVE, RINGS ACT AS A "SHORT CUT" FOR THE SPARK DISCHARGE ON THE "WAY" TO GROUND.

SPRAK " TRAVEL " FROM THE CETNTER ELECTRODE TO THE EDGE OF THE FIRST CONDUCTIVE RING, USE THE RING AS CONDUCTOR, JUMPS OUT FROM THE OTHER EDGE OF THE FIRST RING INTO THE EDGE OF THE SECOND CONDUCTIVE RING, USES IT AS CONDUCTOR, THEN, THE SPRAK DISCHRAGE " JUMPS OUT " INTO THE SPARK PLUG SHELL (GROUND) TO COMPLETE THE SECONDARY IGNITION CIRCUIT.

I feel small, and humbled.... :prayer:

The primary coil field collapses once. Period.

Unless it is being driven by a multiple input (as in an MSD setup), when it reaches the potential to 'jump' whatever gap is tagged onto the seconday side, it will spark once.

Period.

And it will do it through the path of least resistance...not TWO of them.

Simultaneous?

Surely you are pulling my leg. You can't possibly think that two gaps are going to be crossed by the single collapse of a field.

Yep. More than three syllables for sure. And meant to confuse the uneducated and make them think the laws of physics have changed.

Here's a hint......

They haven't!!

Gravity still SUCKS  !!!

Compare?

Can't do that 'til I know the number of places in Arkansas and Texas that have proved these plugs to be the best things since...well...whatever.

...what a load of tripe........

ALTHOUGH...some folks like to make soup outt'a that.

Me? Not so much.

So then you think this plug doesn't fire at all?

Remember, I'm a button pusher! Ha!!

Like I said. I want to hook one up and watch it spark. Some video would be nice...
