'Sarcasm' is in the 'S's'.

I didn't find any irony there.

:delete:

Why bother......a second explanation that requires a better understanding of English than did the first (which fell on deaf ears) is senseless.

Good luck on your gaskets.

Way back in the day when we kids were fooling with Briggs & Stratton powered go-carts we developed cutting edge technology to boost the compression of a 3 1/2 hp motor.

Headgaskets made from a piece of notebook paper sandwiched between 2 pieces of tinfoil. We'd make the sandwich first and glue it together with hair spray then cut the gasket.

Worked fine!

I don't see why a thin copper gasket wouldn't work. Seems like a lot of work and trouble for a part that is pretty reasonably priced, especially when part of a set.

Then again, I've relined brake shoes with glue and asbestos gasket material.

Trying to keep it together (motor) with the best parts availible. No offence! It's all good!! Gd Day!!
